Agent Fernando Carlos Hernández López died, along with Pilot, Sergio Ovidio Pedrero and mechanic Manuel García Ramírez when their helicopter crashed while on a recognizance flight in Southwest Juarez. Witnesses said they heard two explosions before seeing the helicopter burst into flames, then crash. The aircraft landed in a maquiladora lot full of empty semi-truck trailers.
